Win Big: Jim Boggia

I’ve always had mixed feelings about music in commercials. For many of us, songs often become connected with certain personal feelings and experience in our lives and it is a bit jarring when a commercial suddenly associates it with something totally different.

On the other hand, commercials can be a lucrative source of income and introduce an artist to new audiences, especially for up-and-coming or independent artists. Perhaps that’s why I was excited to hear Jim Boggia’s “Live the Proof” in a recent Blackberry commercial. The song’s high energy is the perfect soundtrack to a super-charged connected life.

To be eligible, add a comment to this post with your favorite song used in a commercial. A winner will be selected at random when the contest ends on Friday, 10/3/08 at midnight ET.**

Here is the aforementioned Blackberry commercial plus a few choice extras from Boggia. Read more about Misadventures in Stereo here.

I love the song Put The Lime In The Coconut which was used in a Coke commercial . That song is so catchy and really makes me feel tropic. So that was Jim’s song in that Blackberry commercial. Look forward to hearing more from him.
