I was singing the praises of Ian Hunter to a friend a few weekends ago. This song is from his outstanding 2009 release Man Overboard and was one of my favorites from that year. The anger and indignation of the lyrics is somehow inspiring — it is a song so good that I had to share it again!
Hunger, anger, propaganda
ain’t it time we all grew up
and we all got dreams but nobody’s listening
sometimes flowers ain’t enough

Thanks for sharing – Ian has always been one of my favorite singer/songwriters. I was fortunate to see him perform live several times, including a show in Scottsdale, AZ with guitarist Mick Ronson. At that show, I arrived at the venue early and had a chance to say “Allo”, and when I told Ian that my hometown was Cleveland, OH he smiled widely and said, “You’ll be alright then!” Thanks again for the Monday Morning video – cheers!
