John Hiatt on Austin City Limits.

album cover Our favorite ‘Master of Disaster’ proves he’s still the ‘Same Old Man’ with his aptly titled new album. Rumor has it that Hiatt was intended to be the surprise artist at New West Records’ SXSW day party this year. That didn’t happen nor did it sour a party that featured other greats like Tim Easton (featuring The Whipsaws), Buddy Miller and The Old 97s. In the end, Hiatt puts another one in bits and we rejoice. File under: Folk Rock / Blues / Country

I accidentally stumbled upon the four Rische family siblings at CES Las Vegas in January of this year and was blown away by these soon to be stars of country and bluegrass. The foursome consisting of Lillie Mae, Frank, Scarlett and Amber-Dawn seem like they were born to perform.
