thanks for the song – can’t wait to hear the whole CD! my favorite song by Ms. Smith would have to be Come To Jesus. it’s such a great song and i never get tired of it. i love holiday music and have lots of favorites but one that stays in the player all season is Patty Loveless – Bluegrass and White Snow.

Hurricane was a great one…I thought Tennessee, of her newer non-holiday album Long Island Shores, was also a marvel of simplicity and longing.

As for holiday songs…I’ve enjoyed the two cuts I’ve heard off Mindy Smith’s new album immensely, and would care tenderly for a copy…but I’ve got 7 covers of Joni Mitchell’s River stuck in my head.
