The Texas Sapphires–Austin Chronicle’s “Best New Band” @ AMA Nashville

Often described as ‘a twangier X’ or the Knitters if they could play better, the Texas Sapphires blend brother and sister harmonies in the spirit of Porter and Dolly, Carl and Pearl Butler, George and Tammy, Gram and Emmylou etc. Their massively acclaimed debut “Valley So Steep,” produced by Lloyd Maines is followed up by a live release “Roadhouse Gems, Live at John T. Floore Country Store out on Jesse Dayton’s STAG records.

Chet Flippo of CMT.com: “A hell of a lot of fun to see live in person”

No Depression says: “addictive harmonies, some great songs, expertly delivered heartbreak”

The Houston Press: “If honky tonk has a future, hopfully it will sound a lot like the Texas Sapphires”

Please don’t miss ‘em, at the AMA Conference, Saturday, November 3rd, 11 pm at the Mercy Lounge!!

This is a terrific live band. I’ve caught a few of there shows at Gruene Hall and have never been disappointed. Congrats to the Sapphires on some much deserved recognition!
