I'm a big RIchard fan, and was aware of Teddy mostly because he backed up his dad in some shows years ago. I was not prepared for what a great country album this is. I'm from Pocatello Idaho and country is in my DNA; I mourn what mainstream country has become. If you told me the son of some famous Brit folkies made a great country album by minimizing the twang and adding a string quartet I would have been increduous, but Teddy nailed it - this is the real deal. This is the best real country album I've heard since Buddy Miller made one, and I have to believe the songwriters would love it.

I don't know why, but I was really surprised that this album is as good as it is. It could be a sleeper pick for album of the year. At least on some country charts.
