Um, I’m a little upset Texas’ own Bobby Blue Bland didn’t get a mention (If You Got a Heart). Maybe my favorite female vocalist Etta James was already on the list (All I could do is Cry). If Curtis Mayfield (Hard to Believe) finds out he doesn’t make the soul playlist on Twangville, he and James Brown (This is a Man’s World) will freak out, funny yet ool dancing would ensue. Oh, and for your own sake take somebodies version of “When a Man Loves a Woman” (Percy Sledge will work).

And my personal favorite soul song ever…

You better believe Etta’s already on the list. And certainly your other suggestions deserve a chance. Its gonna be hard to make cuts.
