Tom’s Pick of the Week, Josh Rouse

album coverI just returned from vacation and I didn’t want to let the week pass without mentioning new releases from Ben Harper and Josh Rouse.

Though Harper’s 2-disc release Both Sides of the Gun simply cannot be ignored, I like Rouse’s Subtitulo. He departs slightly from last year’s smash Nashville by adding some Spanish influences which serve to show off a new side of his endless talent.

Other notable releases for week of March 21, 2006 from:
Tom Russell, Southern Culture on the Skids, Dale Watson, Shawn Camp, Essex Green, Sondre Lerche and Seth Kauffman

About the author: Tom is a Design Director for Viget Labs currently living in Northern Virginia with his wife and two kids.
